Description
A classic African blending component, largely chosen because of its pleasant acidity profile and espresso-centric flavor notes. Brown spice aromatics with a smooth mouthfeel and caramelized sugar, grape, and nutmeg notes. It is inherently destined to flourish in an espresso blend.
Mount Elgon is a massive solitary volcanic mountain on the border of eastern Uganda and western Kenya. Its vast form, eighty kilometers in diameter, rises 3,070 meters above the surrounding plains. Its cooler heights offer respite for humans from the hot plains below, and its higher altitudes provide a refuge for flora and fauna.
The smallholder producers that have contributed to this lot, grow their coffee along the hills surrounding this ancient mountain.
